metro trailer sales based in alabama advertises 8.5 x 24 enclosed trailers on rj for 3990.00 if you pick them up at the plant in grorgia,has anyone bought one (or know someone who has)?? looks like a pretty good deal for a new trailer,but i'd like to talk to someone who's had experience with them. thx.

It has to be 2-3500 axles and the trailer weighs around 3500#, that ony leaves you about 3000# or so. Buy one with the 2-5000# its worth the extra money. Make sure the framing in the floor and walls is 16" on center. I live in FL and bought one in Melbourne on Wickem RD. It is an Extreme Hauler made in Prentice , Miss. Payed $5150 out the door, that tax,tag,etc. Has escape door on side and RV style door up front. First thing I did was change all the tiedowns and use grade 8 bolts. Then removed all the int plywood and insulated with foil back foam, sides and roof. 100% improvement. Fill all the cracks in the floor next to the wall, it will suck dirt and water inside. Only use it 1-2 times a month pulls good at 70-75. Bought it in June of 08. I looked at used crap that I would not pull let alone put my car in and they wanted $2500-3500. Even a certin dealer in Lakeland had over priced used crap. When you buy at the low end they are all about the same just do your homework.

Oh it has the aluminum mags and the bigger tires too, 2int lights, stone guards it looks good for $5150.00. It was by far the best deal for the money.

Look at add #1405113. Mine looks like this with 2-5000# axles, int lights, alum. mags, pt floor,escape door.
