Hi Dave,
Danville is next door to Avon / Brownsburg (ORP). I'm getting back into racing after about 15 years, because the quick 8 / 16 programs have renewed my interest. The thought of bracket racing with a throttle stop makes me want to get back on the couch. The 565 came together by accident from collecting parts for the larger motor..just kinda got out of hand and before you know it, I'm the proud papa of a screamin Big Chief.
Anyway, its for sale to hopefully finance a bigger motor. With the economy the way it is..looks like I'll own it for a while...ho hum...

To Bjuice,
No, cam is an Erson grind that Reher Morrison puts in their program engines. Essentially the 565 is a RM motor put back together with new parts. I think 1020 is about "par" for a motor that size with 18 degree heads. Still 1.8 HP per cube. I never had the thought of using nitrous, but the engine has NOS capable pistons installed. If I could get the figures your talikng about without NOS..I'd keep the motor, but I just think that is a little ambitous with the combination I have.

Tom,
Not fimilar with the quick 8/16 program down there, can you explain what it is ? Indy is 3hrs from me, raced several quick 8's at bunkerhill. I like that quick stuff, you plan on racing some Jegs Quick 32 stuff also ? May see you next year if so.

turbinetom, I would definitely give thedude(sean) a call and talk with him about what you are looking to do.I called him and he was pretty sharp with these big cubic inch motors and he seemed to be a super nice guy.He worked with some of the best in the business but you can call him to find out who it was.I can assure you that you will be very impressed.

Hi Dave,
I'm not 100% in tune with what goes on in the Quick programs either, but it renewed my interest in drag racing when I started hearing about the programs. Still bracket racing, but with a "competetive" goal. Main cataylst was that I got into 4 of these big Donovans incredibly cheap. Car was a steal and is immaculate. I bought it with a Lenco CS2 which I sold the setup, so now I'm into the car for $900..and yes the car is certified to 6.0's just this spring. Definitely, I'll be around next spring and I'll look for you to say hello.
