Renowned for his restrictor plate savvy, Gerhart has won a record Eight times at Daytona (1999, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010,2011,2012). He also has one win at Talladega, in 2001. His career-best driver point finishes are second (2006), third (1999), fifth (1991, 2000), eighth (1988), and 10th (1990, 1997). Gerhart won the pole at Daytona in four consecutive seasons (2003-2006), and has also earned poles at Talladega (2006), Michigan (1998), and Winchester (2000). Gerhart has led 716 laps in 30 races.
