This car was built strictly as a project car that has $130,000 invested and when the project started the base car had 105,000 miles on it. The car was then stripped, gutted and rebuilt using only the very best products available along with many custom products. This was not built as a want to be Johnny Budget Racer. This car is a full-on Race Car designed to survive the rigors of Road Racing and Track Days as WPC and Cryo treatments to the engine were utilized. WPC and Cryo treatments are generally only found on the most expensive engines built and are applied in order to provide at least 3x the longevity of an untreated engine.
This is not a car that can be driven on the street and will have to be trailered to and from the track. This car requires the use of Amsoil for all the moving components and VP E98 fuel in order to get the most out of the car. The engine oil temperature during testing stays at about 200 degrees to 210 degrees, Water temp will max out at about 190 degrees to 200 degrees. Oil pressure runs from 50lbs to 90lbs. In corners where you would normally have to shift into another gear this engine will still be pulling power at 7500 rpms making it easy to stay in gear a little longer than would normally be the case.
The Haltech ECU has an automatic shutoff if the engine shows any strange deviation from normal running and shuts off immediately avoiding any potential or minimum engine damage! Further, this engine and version of this car has one lap only on it to test the systems. The fellas that built this car are very hard core auto guys that also race and were allowed a free hand in building this car where the costs were not an option and as you look at the parts used and custom built, you will notice a marked difference from your normal Subaru build philosophy, which is lots and lots of boost, with lots of heat and a very short life cycle. This project only uses 20lbs of boost three (3) pounds more than an STI Subaru model, yet produces 560whp and 475 ft.lbs of torque, while weighing only 2700lbs. From past experience we have learned that more than 560whp is about all you need unless you want to burn the tires off after a few laps. Yes, this engine can pull much more power by just mildly increasing the boost of the Turbo. The Turbo we use will allow up to 50lbs of boost, which would be insane in this engine. As the gentleman who does the tune up on this engine does probably 300+ tune ups a year on primarily Subarus and stated after tuning this engine that this engine was one of the most efficient engines he has ever tested! This engine uses custom heads, Turbo and cams that are all engineered to work together. Not just some random cam, with a random set of heads mated to a random Turbo.
Only serious inquiries will be considered. However, We also have a Max HD 20 ft trailer that has been used about 20 times in four years taking the car to and from the builders facilities that can go with the car for a price and we added a 9500lb. winch as well along with an additional $10,000 worth of parts that can be purchased separately. 12 components were left off the upgrade list, but can be provided to serious buyers!
