Heavily Customized, Deleted, Engine and Transmission Tuned by MotorOps
This truck was built for overlanding and truck camping offroad. It was built to haul a 5,000 lb Lance 1172. It is deleted, has a MotorOps tune with a 5 way DSP switch so you can tune on the fly. No Def. No DPF. It’s not meant to roll coal, and doesn’t smoke.
No known collision damage history, and I’ve owned the truck since it had 61,000 miles on it. There was a single previous owner. There are dents on both dually fenders, from rocks and from a camper jack. The tailgate has a dent on it. The paint on most of the body is original. There are rock chips all over. The paint on the hood, front fenders, and doors are new, courtesy of some vandalism damage in 2021.
Engine
Stock 6.6 Turbo Diesel LMM Engine. FAS AirDog II-4G 165gph Fuel Pressure Regulator. MotorOps Tune, S&B Cold Air Intake. Custom Tuned by MotorOps in Canada, one of the best tuners out there.
Fuel
The stock 25 gallon was too small for adventures! I upgraded it to the Titan 62 Gallon Onboard Fuel Tank. This replaces the stock tank in the stop location. Not wanting to stop there, I also opted for the Spare Tire Auxiliary Fuel System, which is a 30-gallon Auxiliary Fuel Tank, with a separate controller to feed fuel from the spare tank area to the main tank. This is done with a controller in the cab, complete with an onboard fuel gauge. The spare tire location was not accessible with the camper on the truck. Last, this truck used to have a 45 gallon in bed tank, but it has since been removed. With the 62-gallon fuel tank and 30-gallon Aux tank, our typical fuel range was over 1000 miles between fill ups.
Tires
I’ve upgraded the tires to Toyo 245/70R19.5 M608Z’s because I wanted the 33” wheels and the ability to perform offroad or on-road. It excels in dirt, but it’s great on the interstate. All 6 tires are ALCOA, with 4 being Durabright and 2 Standard. I have the center covers for the rear but removed them due to their size. I also have a full-size steel spare. To accommodate for the larger tires, I have completed the Norcal Mod.
Suspension
As this was built to carry weight, added an additional leaf spring by a suspension shop, sticker on door reflects that. I have Hellwig Anti-Sway Bars in the front and rear. I’ve installed VI-AIR 200 PSI Ultra Duty Onboard Compressor with a small 2.5g tank. These fill a rear Firestone Ride-Rite Airbags. The compressor also has 4 external ports for air tools, jacks, or tire filling. Airbags have a controller at the left knee of the driver, to raise or lower airbags on the fly. I replaced the upper and lower control arms with the Stage 3 Upper Control Arms from NorcalTruck – with a leveling kit to make the truck sit level. It’s running Bilstein 5100 Shocks on the Front and Rear. The rear hub gaskets have been replaced. Replaced the steering stabilizer.
Lights
Replaced the headlights which were terrible with some brighter eBay projectors. Added 4 LED Offbrand Fog-lights which are programmed to the OE Switch (1 of these needs replaced). Additionally added Rigid Flood LED Grill & Hood Spot LED Lights.
Towing
Front: Under Bumper, Curt Receiver under the Ranch Hand. Rear: Torklift Superhitch Class V, Dual 2” Receiver (Original 20k) Capacity: 2,000 TW and 20,000 Capacity. Four Torklift Steel Frame Mounted Tie Downs. Lance 7 way Plug in bed.
Transmission
4WD – Allison 1000 - Upgraded Transmission Cooler Lines in 2023 to Fleece Allison Transmission Cooler Lines, and a larger diameter. Running Amsoil fluids. Tuned by MotorOps
Misc.
Ranch Hand Bumper, some rock scratches. Bluetooth Audio adapter plugged into Aux Port. 1000w Inverter Mounted on the left Kick Panel of the Passenger Seat. Dual Liner Truck Bedliner. Horse stall Mat for camper to rest on. Under rear seat organizer.
