2006 Honda S2000 racecar, fully caged, no expense spared build by a top team. I don’t want to do the math on what this build would cost today.
Supercharger, trans and data system alone are probably worth over 15k.
Car sat on the 2017 Indy STU Runoffs pole and led until it suffered a clutch failure. It has only been tracked a bit since then.
I purchased it in 23 with plans to campaign it for a national championship in 24 but priorities have changed. I am absolutely convinced that with a bit more development it can win the Runoffs. I’ve only driven at one track and I’ve been well under the current track record, and that was with abs not working and on throwaway 2018 Hoosiers and at over 3200 pounds (lots of ballast for the class).
I can share with the buyer exactly what I believe is required remaining (not much) to make it a contender to win the championship.
Alternatively, remove nearly 300 pounds of ballast (SCCA class specific) and take it racing or time trailing and it’ll be crazy fast.
It makes over 10% more power than I calculated was required to be competitive in class. I have the dyno sheet from Jesse Prather Motorsports a couple of months ago for a serious buyer.
Fa22 was built by King Motorsports and is supercharged. Brakes are epic … Stoptech all around. Shocks are very impressive - MCS 2 way external. All suspension is spherical and I believe all bushings have been upgraded as well. Front upper control arms are aftermarket with easy camber adjustment. Trans is a 5 speed GForce dog box and it rips. Rear axles are 700hp built aftermarket axles.
Belts are brand new Safecraft good through June of 2026. Sparco Evo II seat.
Data system is an AIM MXS connected to CAN, complete with data hub and Smartycam Sport 3. Comes with Hondata for tuning.
Three sets of wheels, 2 sets 8x17, 1 set 9x17 (I planned to run 8” front and 9” rear). Two of the 9” wheels are still new in the box.
STU appropriate aero: splitter and tail.
Some small battle scars because: racecar (all before my time). Car is Silverstone Metallic with excellent paint per the previous owner, but wrapped completely in red.
It has a trans cooler, a diff cooler, and an aux fuel tank in the passenger side likely for ballast reasons (previous driver was a smaller guy).
Tons of spares including all the wear internals for the dog box, all the parts to rebuild a stock 6 speed, a full set of very good rotors and hats, pads, and much more (see list).
Other than tires you shouldn’t need to buy anything for quite a while.
Jesse Prather Motorsports went through the car top to bottom in December and gave it very positive reviews and a clean bill of health.
At asking price, car will also come with a wired (no subscription) AMB transponder.
Of note: if you are over 6’1”, I do not recommend you buy this car site unseen. I spent a lot of time getting the seat into a position that I can drive it comfortably (I’m 6’1”).
