1994 Jeep Wrangler S
For consignment, a former Georgia Jeep aptly named by our consignor Georgia Peach, that remains rust free to this day thanks to the dry southern climate and diligent care. Recent maintenance and a brush up on some of the mechanicals was also done. Some of which are new springs and shocks, new brakes on the front and rear and a period-correct Blaupunkt head unit. Our example shows 135,243 miles on the odometer, which cannot be verified as original as the title shows a Mileage Exempt. Sing with me: " Let's get a little mud on the tires." "Climb every mountain..."
Exterior
Slights hazy, clear coat degraded, and faded bright red steel coats the rust free body, which maintains the factory gaps and displays nicely with plain black steel bumpers and black flexible fenders flares. 15-inch factory aluminum wheels which are wrapped in deeply treaded Firestone Destination A/T mud slingers. The long running and instantly recognizable Jeep grille leads the way and is flanked by traditional round headlights. The exterior latched hood leads back to the slightly raked windshield which gives support to a nice tan factory hardtop with tinted windows, all of which can be removed giveing one an open cockpit and rear passenger area. Dressing up the sides are full size doors along with the gray fade Wrangler decals on the sides of the hood. A note to the full-sized spare hanging off the back-swing mount for it, allowing full access to the rear cargo area. "Search high and low..."
Interior
A climb inside and we see cloth making up the seats. Broad stitched saddle makes up the seating surfaces which have been fitted with body hugging bolsters and appear in good condition, but not without a few stains and areas of soiling. The rear bench also shows in tan cloth with some matching stitching but does have some light wear and staining also. The dash utilizes heavily padded saddle for its topper and its plastic as well and presents very nicely. A multi-gauge cluster sits in front of the driver and in the center of the dash is a Blaupunkt AM/FM/CD player, heater control slides, small round auxiliary gauges in square pods, and ventilation outlets. Saddle tan indoor/outdoor carpet covers the floors and shows almost no wear and is protected by lighter saddle carpeted mats. A shifter for the transfer case grows from the center hump and a small black plastic console resides between the seats. In the rear storage compartment, saddle carpet is seen along with a speaker box and home made wooden package shelf. Very nice overall interior. "Follow every byway..."
Drivetrain
The 2.5 liter inline 4-cylinder turns this 4x4's screws and is aided in doing so by electronic fuel injection and a 3-speed Chrysler 32RH automatic transmission. 4.10 geared axles for the Dana 30 carrier up front and Dana 35 carrier in the back help you climb your way over every obstacle that gets in your path. "Every path you know..."
Undercarriage
Deep gloss black covers the skid plates underneath and we see solid steel for the frame and undercoated flooring. A few areas show surface rust on the untreated components along with a heavier sprinkling on the single exhaust system. Newly installed leaf springs are on both the front and the rear along with dual pumpkins for your 4 wheelin. Front power disc brakes and rear power drums for your wilderness stop offs are noted and have recently had new lines, hoses, calipers and wheel cylinders installed. "Fjord every stream..."
Drive-Ability
This baby fired right up, ran smoothly, and all 4x4 gears work perfectly. A bit of a ride, but based on the fact it's a Jeep, pretty good and fully functional. The tires sing a bit when you cruise, and unfortunately the Classic Auto Mall test area does not have anything over 10 feet in altitude to try to climb. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.
An unmolested, rust free, all good condition Wrangler, complete with knobby Firestone tires, as well as a nice interior and a removable hardtop. This truck is ready to take you where no man has gone before, or at least the wilds of this country where you can reach new heights and sing its praises.
