Default Fuel cells

Building a street/strip pro street car..wanting to run (2) 8 gal fuel cells. They have (2) -10 an fittings in bottom sump. Also (2) -10an fittings on top for vents I'm guessing. Tanks has foam in them.
I'm thinking running a -10 hose from left tank to right tank sump. Then on other -10 fitting on right tank use to feed engine. On the crossover line there be 3" drop out of tank but on right side tank the cross over line have a 2" incline to sump fitting . Then be running return line from regulator back to tank. Can I just hook it up to one of the -10 fittings on top of tanks..What tank should I run return to??
Will this idea work as to plumbing the 2 fuel cells????

It sounds like you’re thinking along the right lines with a dual fuel cell setup, but there are a few things to consider for reliability and proper fuel flow. Running a -10 line between the sump fittings of the two tanks as a crossover is fine, just make sure the line slopes slightly downhill to avoid air pockets. Feeding the engine from one tank sump works if your crossover allows the first tank to fully feed the second; you want to avoid fuel starvation on high-g turns. For the return line, it’s usually best to return to the tank you are pulling from to maintain consistent pressure, or to a dedicated return port if the cells are designed that way. Avoid returning to a vent fitting; those are meant to manage pressure and vapor, not fuel flow. Also, confirm your regulator can handle the dual-sump input. This setup can work, but careful routing and testing under load is key to avoid starvation or pump cavitation.
