The following is my reply after he reneged on deal for me to buy his
'55 chevy rolling, with only 3 days before I was to picked it up.
I cancelled a ski trip and had airfare and other expenses.
He gave the guys 3 days notice. It's not like he showed up to his house and then he said Whoops, I changed my mind last week.
Airfare and a canceled trip is not the sellers fault. Those expense we just a part of the buyers cost of this deal. If he had gone to look at the car and said he didn't like it who's expenses are they? Still the buyers. It doesn't matter if it's around the corner or 1,000 miles away the buyer is the one that has to go look at the vehicle (unless agreements are made by the two parties). I don't take the buyers side just because he is the one out of money or a canceled trip. He knew those were on his table when he began this deal.
