on a hot day in 1988, i was a crew guy on a super late model team. headed to raceway park in shakopee mn. sitting in the right turn lane,some kids pulled up next to me in a four door impala. and they had the tunes cranked up!loud! and all the windos rolled down. a once in a life time oppertunety presented itself. the car in front of me made a u turn , i was first at the light, i did not move. the impala was boxed in. there was a light wind from left to right. i was driving a 1969 ford ranchero 351 auto duel exhaust and 3.25 traclok. i put my foot on the brake,the other on the gas, got um spinning puter on da wood, clicked it up in to 2nd speedo said 60. smoke was rolling off the tires. the kids in the impala could not the windos up before i filled there car up with tire smoke.lots of it! every one who was stoped at the light loved it. i got a green arrow and went on to crashway park i dont remember what happend at the track that night. but i will never forget an arm sticking out of a smoke filled impala flipping me off. stickboy331 :lol:
