I left for work this morning in my Aztek, got about 2 miles from home on rt.66. There is a sweeping banked right hand turn. I saw something run out in the road. I started to slow down. A possum stopped right in the middle of the lane looking at me. I got on the brakes. The roads were wet. The back end came around like I was on ice. I went through a deep ditch sideways (I thought it was going to roll), up the bank on the other side and right up to a bean field. I didn't slide off the turn, I spun to the inside.
I must of knocked him silly . He was running round in circles in the road. I drove it out and came back home. I don't think it's damaged but there is mud and grass stuck in the tire beads. So I have to get those broke down and cleaned today.
I guess I should've replaced those 1/2 bald rear tires already.
