I would never deal with Crankshaft specialist again. Several years ago I sent a crank that I had bought new from them back to repair a damaged rod journal. The repair was supposed to include checking for cracks. 10 runs later it was broke. This crank was in an engine that made about 700 hp and was NA. Doug said he would make good on the deal but after he jerked me around for several months I filed a complaint with the BBB. At the time they were a BBB member in good standing. If you check now they not only aren't a member but they have a F rating. Although I will agree that trying to save money on a 2800 hp engine by purchasing a used crank may not be such a good idea I think it would be reasonable to think you're getting a good part if it was checked 1st. Crankshaft specialist screwed this guy.
