Sorry about the size but maybe this will help.

I'm guessing your reffering to the large wire coming off the alternator that goes to the battery?

Trace it back into the wire loom, cut and wrap with electrical tape or heat shrink tubing.

On the diagram, main power lead returning to front of car will connect back to the starter solenoid as well as your control panel ie.... ARC or painless wiring box. Either of these should be fused for each individual sw.
