After warranting two motors last year with Dyer rods and ARP2000 bolts,one of which broke on my dyno, we use only the ARP Custom Age 625 bolts. the yield strength on 2000 is 180,000 lbs and the 625 is 235,000-255,000.I would much rather pay more for bolts and not worry about one breaking. Both of the 2000 bolts that broke were new and had the correct stretch.
If you change to a higher strength bolt that requires more torque you need to resize the big end of the rod as it will go out of round with the higher torque.Bill
