What rear
 

I am looking for a rear to put under my blown 1979 caddy(yea, I know, WHAT?) I was told 1977-1979 caddy used there own rear. I think I was told a rear from a 1991 capri ? police car 12 bolt will bolt right in ?..its been a while since I was told this so my memory is waaaay off....LOL
Anyone know how far off a chevelle 12 bolt or similar would be.

my old 79 lesabre had caddy parts on it from factory main thing was 5x5 bolt patern and bigger brakes ( my lesabre was a turbo coupe) and back then they tested parts for caddys and others on odd ball stuff
