is 300 toomuch for gettin a 454 bored 40 over gettin it megnafluxed cam bearings and freeze plugs installed???????

That's about the going rate.
I paid $400 for my 454 to be done, but it was torque plate honed and I had one sleeve put in too.

just call automotive machine and see what they say
cus they did james motor and they beed blasted it jet cleaned it bored it sleeved it and new bearings and freeze plugs for like 400

ya dropped it off with them today payin under 300 to get it beed blected jet washed bored freeze plugs cam barings and my crank turned

make sure they tell you how much they took off the crank so you can get the proper bearings

i was lucky to redue the shops signs and bartered for them to; bore,
cam bearings, freeze plugs, deck surface, and installed a 4 bolt splayed
mains for my bbc, balanced crank, and all came out great. :wink:
the machine shop i went to is right in the middle of a corn field,
the owner has raced everything and now is into racingboats and
builds bb blown motors for flying across the water :shock:
