Soild or Plate?

Don't know if i want to use solid motor mounts or a motor plate in my 74 Nova about 700hp 505ci. pump gas street/strip car? Any suggestions?

I would use the motor plate, which would free up space for the headers. I would also change the car over to front steer with rack & pinion to help some more on header clearance. With running the motor plate, you should run an engine limiter rod. I connect to one of the motor mount bosses or the fuel pump boss and then connect to a tab welded to the frame.

Good luck,

Bill M
