Rattle can primer
I'm not a professional painter, but can work my way around simple projects.
I've been working on my project's doors, sealing them with Shop Line JP202 2K primer surfacer and JH301 hardener. After blocking them a couple of times, I manage to sand thru the primer to small areas of bare metal. I have been touching up these sports with Rust-Oleum sandable primer spray. Can I apply acrylic enamel with hardener over the mismatch without a problem? |

Since you already have the doors blocked, it is safer to just sand off those Rust-Oleum spots and use a small amount of your JP202 to cover the bare metal. It takes a little more time, but it guarantees that everything is chemically bonded and you won't have a disaster when you go to spray the final color. It is not worth the risk of a reaction ruining all your hard work. |
