This guy is a con dont trust jayss10

This young man jayss10 is a scam artist. He tried selling me a car he did not even own yet or have in his possession . He kept asking for a deposit and I knew he did not own the vehicle because I spoke to the people who had the car he was trying to sell me . I called the owner of the car and he said they may do a trade but nothing was set in stone.

Then I come to find out they did end up doing a trade and the car jayss10 traded was a cloned SS and he was telling everyone on Racing junk it was a real ss.

I do not understand why people must Lie

In god we trust have a blessed day.

Harbone 11-10-2011 10:20 AM

Jay is on here every once in awhile. Have never heard of him trying to screw anybody over before. Lets see what he has to say about it...

gmanxss 11-10-2011 02:42 PM

I HAVE ALSO TRIED TO GET BUYERS LINED UP FOR A CAR I AM TRADING FOR. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT? :?: :?: :?:

STAMPED..

I am with you harbone been knowing jay on here for Quite some time with never an issue..matter of fact he is a RJ approved friend of mine on the classifieds. Now I don't know on claiming to be original SS car or Not...but I will say there is nothing wrong with trying to get a sale lined up on a car you will soon get in your possession...why I have done that a few times myself in My life trade on something and it never really get it in my possession and I turn it and make $500 or whatever the reason may be.

Sorry you gotta do a little better then this saltflatjunky...getting on here making assumptions this man is a scammer is totally out of line based on the information you posted .. IMO

PS: Chris did you notify Jay or you want me to so we can get his reply on this.

Thanks Bjuice

Ok News. I called the Utah District Attorneys Office it is illegal to try to ask for monies to be be wired or transferred before ownership has taken place of a motor vehicle. The Law is the law and according to the law it is considered a scam.

It is also illegal to skip titles of a motor vehicle (which translates in to not transferring the motor vehicle in ones name)

It is also a felony I will repeat a felony to sell a vehicle and claim it is a true Super Sport when it is not. It is called misconception of a motor vehicle.

So you young men say what you will but the law is the law

I am a retired attorney and a bishop at my church and the rest of the year I collect cars and race on the salt. I have seen 200mph 320mph and 420mph so I think my hobby list is just fine.

I'm going to have to side with saltflat on this. How can you ask for a deposit on a vehicle you don't own or even have in your possession? JMO

Harbone 11-11-2011 04:47 AM

Jay is on my friends list too. Here is a copy of the ad I found.

http://www.racingjunk.com/Chevrolet/...st-55-or-.html

I sent him a message, he cant seem to get on the board so here is what he sent me. Now would you pull a motor from a car without some kind of deposit :?:

thanks for the heads up ,i went there and tried to reply it wont let me sez theres a error but heres what happened (hi guys thanks for the good words ,heres the deal i had a deal going with his buddy,i get this message from him who i didnt know asking me to sell the body of the car i was trading for ,well i did the deal with his buddy,as i was waiting for the delv.,i sent a message back that the deal was done and if he sent a deposit id remove the motor and trans,he said no,i dont send deposits,so i said no also,he said pull everything out ill buy it,well as i told him im not striping my car without a deposit,he said no, so thats was it we didnt do the deal ,then he got real rude because i wouldnt, seems hes got temper problems when people dont do what he sez to do,now for the ss part ,its funny that the alabama reg. sez its a ss,but on my add it said id send vin# for anyone to check,it had all the ss stuff even the boxed control arms,12 bolt posi, all the ss emblems, bucket seats,console,gauges,f41 everything,id send pics to anyone, and the vin said it was ordered with bucket seats and console and gauge package, and it was a sport coupe,im not a expert on that stuff i listed it as i got it, and any way why is saltflatjunky saying anything anyway,he wasnt the guy i deaded with, well im not the best typer as you guys know ,but i try to be honest as i can, this guy went crazy on me because i wouldnt strip my car on his word.......im done thanks guys for the help) i tried to type that on the reply thanks chris

well... saltflat is correct about "skip titling" but we all have done it. i can see both sides and been in both positions myself! its hard to trust anyone in this sorry ass world we are living in full of dead beats and scammers :x

gmanxss 11-11-2011 05:30 AM

I WOULD NEVER ASK ANYONE TO REMOVE ANY PARTS FROM A CAR WITHOUT A DEPOSIT. GLAD I DON'T LIVE IN UTAH WITH THOSE LAWS.

I havent been a "young man" for awhile.

Jay lives in Indiana, so the deposit deal holds no value.

Yes, its illegal to skip titles but its not uncommon. People do it all the time and it is what it is.

You need to read his ad, it says he will give you the VIN to verify if it was a SS?

Last but not least, was it you who was wanting to buy the car or your buddy? I am confused...

71ss

seller has for sale a "original 71 ss" as he says in his ad, but he says he will send you the vin to verify, i would think seller should verify it 1st before he puts it up for sale, seems easy enough. i would never remove anything without a deposit, but i also would not advertise anything until i really had it in my driveway.

very good point buddy :D

hotrodstudio 11-11-2011 08:15 AM

I never asked him to remove any parts. He offered me a rolling chassis for $18,000 then asked for a deposit. He said he would remove the motor and transmission and misc parts. I said ok I will send a driver to your door with cash.(( So again he offered me a rolling Chassis that he did not have in his possession,So I ask why would you offer a rolling chassis if you dont have a rolling chassis?

This is for everyone to know it is a law in every state you can not ask for a deposit on an item you do not own that legally belongs to a third party.

Now if I had a car that I owned then yes sir I would require a deposit before I would remove the engine. Agreed

And to the gentleman asking about if I would take a deposit for a case the answer is also yes but I was a criminal attorney!

God bless

NOT ONCE WAS A OWNED TITLE OR BILL OF SELL IN THIS MANS NAME ASKED IN THESE EMAILS ----I THINK YOU DID NOT GET THE DEAL YOU WANTED ON YOUR [EXACT TERMS] SO YOU GOT UPSET AND CAME ON HERE BASHING THIS SELLER

SORRY BUT YOUR STATEMENTS DO NOT RING UPFRONT BUT DOUBLE TALK INSTEAD

Scorpion1110 11-12-2011 06:37 AM

Junky:

Couple questions:

What was your relationship to the owner of the Chevelle? The one JaysS10 made the trade with?

What was the date that you found our about the Chevelle and the trade? When did you know?

Just curious.

As a retired attorney, I am sure you are used to asking questions like this so answering them shouldnt be a problem, and as a retired Bishop I'd guess that honesty would be a priority.

Thanks,

Scorp

Harbone 11-12-2011 08:30 AM

Jay still cant get on the board so he asked me to post this up for him.

Okay guys this is to finish it. I'm not going to say he didn't ask for a bill of sale because he did ask for one. He knew there was no title and I didn't put all this in there because it would of been over 4 pages long and a lot of it was bickering back and forth over the deal. All I was trying to show was that I asked for a deposit or for him to send his man with the money before I stripped my car and he refused either one, so the deal was done in my mind and in his last post he said he wasn't against a deposit and that I was trying to rip him off. I don't see anywhere in our deal where I was trying to rip him off in any way. I was getting the car and I do now have the car, so there was no intention of getting money from him and me not giving him the car. It was just a matter he got mad because I wouldn't do things his way, so I guess that warrents being put in the scammer section. That's whats wrong with people. They would destroy someone's reputation because they want to. I'm a gold seller with all my honor payments paid even above the percentage asked for. Look at his and see how many he has and even his friend that I dealt with has zero honor payments also. So I guess it comes down to trusting in who you believe is right because there's not going to be anyone admitting they're wrong in this case. Thanks to all my friends who defended me and to my other's who are reading this. I think I've explained myself and I'm done with this. I've typed my fingers to the bones. lol.. Your friend, Jay

wazup 11-12-2011 09:20 AM

Wazup here ATTORNEY at law; saltflatjunky grow up and move on your just mad that you didnt get the car so leave Jay alone. The jury on here has found jayss10 "NOT GUILTY".

When you call out the dogs you may get bitten! They seem to allways get to the bottom of things wright or wrong.

bjuice 11-12-2011 02:40 PM

so when does throwing in religion or being a retired attorney have anything to do with this deal ? I am a former State Trooper but that doesn't matter here one bit.

Hey just to let people know...there is a law still on the books here in S.C. thats states if you spit on the sidewalk you can be charged and get 30 days in Jail....lol...is it ever enforced ?...NO........

Open titles I am sure its not legal but the only reason it is not legal is because the state and county are missing out on State sales tax and county Property tax in states where there is property tax ( like S.C.)

So this law is not a Buyer/Consumer protection law..its a Money thing for the government..

Now as far as throwing this Attorney Stuff around...I will lay all bets On Our Resident SCORP If you want to start Fine detailing this law stuff.

Salt you have a legal Point but it doesn't really apply to the issue you really had with the seller...If the man would have agreed to The deal you offered without asking for a deposit you would have done the deal with an open title anyways..which is the only reason the State would have got involved with anyhow..beacuse they would have gigged the seller/Buyer for not paying the taxes by leaving an open title...I am almost 100% positive any DA would not care if you paid the seller in pennies, dollars etc...and I am Quite sure they woulld not have cared if you pre-paid for the car or not as long AS THEY ( State) GOT THEIR CUT IN TAXES BY FILLING OUT THE TITLE TRANSER INFORMATION.
I guess you never put on back of a title or a bill of Sale a lower sales price than you actually paid for a MV also...lol...I know, I know you haven't done that ever because you are a Bishop and we all know all good Bishops pay their taxes...right ? LMAO

So lets get back to what really got you fired up enough to Post your scammer Thread...

Guys Tell me am I close here or Not ? Scorp what do you say ?

BJUICE, YOU ARE ON THE MONEY.I DON'T KNOW THE SELLER BUT BASED ON THIS FORUM I WOULD BUY FROM HIM ANYTIME!!!! :D :D :D :D

dragonmaster093 11-12-2011 05:13 PM

ok heres my thoughts
A. seller says best of his knowledge ss car and offers vin to any buyer to verify (or my thoughts check for my self) no big deal
B. if i know im just waiting for delivery or final lose ends on a deal and am thinking about selling i wouldnt be afraid to post/put feelers out there
C. if some one wants it or parts and ive explained the fact that its not yet in my drive way and they still want and i gotta pull parts then i want a deposit but would be refundable only if something happend and car never showed ect

so in short i dont see anything wrong with how deal was done there was no money exchange no one got screwed over sounds to me like original poster has same complex my 2yr old has wants it her way and when she wants it but again jmo

NoPro-

If Junky can answer my questions it might put this in a different perspective. The timeline kinda interests me.

Suppose for example that Junky finds out from his friend that he is trading the car to someone (Jay) and then contacts Jay for a price on just the body. Suppose this predates the ad?

Would it be wrong for Jayss10 to give him a price on the body only? Should he ask for a deposit to dismantle the car?

Was the deal with Junky contingent on him getting the car?

Jay says Junky and the other trader were buddys so ts logical to suppose Junky knew about the deal before others and perhaps he was trying to get a jump on Jays' post.

Not sure, but when I read the post it almost seems like Junky, tried to cut a deal based on another deal that he was aware of and when it didnt work out he got ticked and started throwing al sorts of legal stuff at Jay.

Just a weird hunch.

dragonmaster093 11-13-2011 09:59 AM

x2 scorp you just shortened my ramblings lol

hotrodstudio 11-13-2011 02:29 PM

Well I see this has caused some ramblings.

Ok the SS has nothing to with me so I will stay out of that deal. But I will say this when someones ad clearly says I have a clean SS chevelle big block blah blah blah and you sell it as an SS not a clone that is a felony it is called deception of a vehicle. I called Colorado Utah and Jays state of Indiana. I asked my neighbor who is a Utah trooper and he agrees as well. In m eyes you dont tell someone I ran the numbers and this is a real SS and I have paper work to prove it! Now those statements incriminate Jay. If any of you did a deal and found out latter you had been duped you would be upset. But again it has nothing to do with me but I know what I would do if I was on the bad end of that deal.

Now back to this deal. In my opinion You dont offer a roller for sale that is not a roller. That is just silly I had a driver ready to go at anytime.

He emailed me and asked for money a week before he had the car in his possession

This is old sorry to give my opinion I did not get the car I honestly would have if this would not have happened. I would not ask for a deposit sorry that is just me. If someone shakes my hand and says a deal is done then I think the deal is done. But I would never ask for a deposit on car that is in someones garage and not my own.

roller or complete , if you don't own it , shoudnt take any money .

Deals fall through , givethe money back ... still leaves bad feelings for reasons like , did he find someone to pay more or , and ..... jus not a good idea/practice

if you advertise a car, make sure you know what it is for sure. also if you advertise it, own it or wait to sell it until you do.

Folks:

Suppose Junky was trying to make a deal with another trader named ToTrade? Suppose the deal fell through and jayss10 made the deal. Suppose that Junky contacted jay to see whether he would deal the car as a runner or a roller.

Why cant they discuss price at this time? They are trying to put a deal together. They agree on a price. Jay tells him he will need a deposit before he pulls the motor when he gets the car.

Where are the legal issues here? Many transactions are negotiated on a contingency basis. Also if Junky sent him a deposit, can't it be considered that he is purchasing an option on the car? Right of refusal? Dollars exchanged to be first in line? jay can sell him a place in line if thats what they agree to.

If Jay said I want $500 as deposit and when I get this car I will pull the motor and sell the body to you for $15k, then thats the agreement. If jay doesnt get the car- deal void deposit returned. If Jay doesnt pull motor - deal void deposit returned. But if they have an agreement that is negotiated and its honored how is that illegal? Negotiated terms have to be honored.

The point is that they didnt agree to terms, so there was no deal. No money changed hands. How is this a scamdeal between jay and Junky?

Junky I am still interested in the timeline.

I think they were putting terms together once Jay obtained the car and thats not illegal.

Bjuice hit the nail on the head!

As far as owning the car before you post it, sounds like jay knew he would have the car in his possession.

I had a guy i knew with a bussa and wanted to sell it to me but i dont ride bikes so i called a friend and made $1.000.00 on the deal and never had the bike in my possession. The bike was sold cheap and a win win for every one. The guy sold his bike and i made a g and my buddy sold it made out too.

I have seen deals like this happen and eveybody gets what they want with no problems.

Ok Mr Scorp and everyone else who is following this.

I was contacted on the 14th he asked for money the 15th.I felt uncomfortable with that so I told him when he had the car in his possession I would send a driver to pick it up that day ,So he asked for a deposit a week before he had the car.
I was contacted the 17th 18th 19th 20th then Jay said he wanted to maybe keep the car and race it then on the 26th 27th 28th 29th 30th he said he decided to sell it so he contacted me again. well I purchased another car already. So I offered 15000 for a rolling chassis and he said no. I offered to send my driver to his door and help him remove the motor hand him cash and he said no. So I let it go.

A few days latter I contacted Trade. I asked if he knew of anyone selling a roller for my needs he asked what happened to the deal with jay and I explained what had transpired. He said he had just received a phone call from a company working on the chevelle and explained what had happened to him. but again that is none of my business So I hope this helps I could give you exact times

I could also post the exact conversations but again its not my point. I was just upset because I have never heard of anyone asking for money before they had possession of a vehicle and that is my complaint.

Jay may be a great person and I just had a bad business dealing with him but that's all it takes.

I called Colorado Utah and Jays state of Indiana. I asked my neighbor who is a Utah trooper and he agrees as well. ok... i must be losing my friggin mind here :( you say ss had nothing to do with you but its been your topic of discussion since your very first post!
now.... you made 8 posts in all and i didnt see any other car mentioned (except the SS.. which you said han nothing to do with you) so .... what damn car were you trying to get that you feel you needed to post this topic here?

hotrodstudio 11-13-2011 06:23 PM

Wow so again, Jay and Trade were doing a trade. jays chevelle and trades Buick. Jay tried to sell me the buick before he had it in his possession or before he knew if the trade was even done. Jay was in Indiana and trade was in colorado So Jay did not know if the trade was even done and at the time it never happened. So a week latter they did a trade. buick for the chevelle.

there was no scam .

no one intented to scam . 3 way deal , that didnt happen .

At anytime , one of the sellers could change their mind a no deal .

looks like one did change his mind and wanted tio use the car , that's happen when in his hands

nothing wrong taking a deposit , when you own the item . What could go wrong with a deal like this ? what if the car was damaged during transport ? what legal action could be taken from the 3rd party that had a deposit on a now wreak car ? I dont know , wait and there be no need to find out
