A little overpriced.. Add:2190316

Would you go over 170mph in this thing.I think it might be a tad bit overpriced or maybe it"s me..

RonOwensRacing 04-25-2011 04:07 PM

that is the funnest thing i ever seen.

i want to print it off and hang it up in the shop for all to see.

shawnp 04-25-2011 04:10 PM

Maybe that was just the before picture and didn't take a picture after he finished turning it into a full chassis car??????

Scooterz 04-25-2011 04:17 PM

LOL!!! 45K "or best reasonable offer" ... that has to go in the hall of fame of my all time fav's. 170 MPH in that thing is suicide... that's WITHOUT the mud-flaps needed for those 50's on the bacK!! LOL!!! LOVE IT... eat your heart out Joe dirt!!!!!!

mopar1968 04-25-2011 05:13 PM

Now that's funny right there :!:

fast75vega 04-25-2011 06:13 PM

dont laugh guys.... 65 to 75 invested...........maybe it comes with a brand new toterhome and enclosed trailer too.....he must of forgot to post it....... lmao

bcw49 04-25-2011 10:05 PM

I don't think it would go that fast, if you dropped it out of an airplane !!!!

itsabird 04-26-2011 01:47 AM

What you guy's fail to see, is the switch on the dash that when flipped, turns it into a pro-stocker.

Scooterz 04-26-2011 10:29 AM

No seriously... for 45K... at least the car is a really rare desirable body style with a lot of classic value. LOL!!!! No no... all joking aside... what he forgot to say was that it is a 4WD... not a 2WD (it has a 4" suspension lift...not body). That makes it worth a lot more... it is all Rancho too. BWAA HA HA HEEE HOO... ha ha.

oldandtired 04-26-2011 11:51 AM

Does he have 2 to 3 runs on the engine, I mean wouldn't you remember?

Or

2/3 of a run...... 880 feet of a 1/4 mile - 440 feet on 1/8.

Sox 04-26-2011 01:01 PM

I noticed he took down the picture.I bet he cant keep up with all the offers.

Scooterz 04-26-2011 01:01 PM

The picture was removed...

Yeah... it's okay... we know its a 79 Cutlass bro-hamm. I mean, the car speaks for itself @ 45K. The primer really does not even bother me either; the ROCK CHIPS from the tires alone would be hard to stop... she is a gravel shootin' dirt roostin' monster. Personally, I would take her just for Bonneville runs that are 170MPH & up- she has more room in her with the aerodynamic stance she has. I don't know, maybe some air-shocks on the back with some good all-terrain mud tires on back too.

ajk 04-26-2011 02:59 PM

He informed me he had a time slip and 50 witnesses to prove it.

Scooterz 04-26-2011 03:13 PM

50? That is impressive. 10 to 15 of them were probably his off-spring (some DNA testing would have to be done). The other 30 to 40 were severely drunk dirt track spectators (they forgot which track they were at).

I had probably that many witnesses when I once went about 40MPH on my skate-board before it went into a VIOLENT SPEED WOBBLE & sent me into the ditch too. Can you imagine the ol' Cutlass Bro-hamm @ 170??? I think I saw that car in Dukes Of Hazard once....

that must of been at that new track that runs down hill for 2 miles...... i think its called "smoking crack speedway"......... :P

ajk 04-26-2011 03:30 PM

I asked for him to post the slip and a video of a 170mph run and i would take it. 1.98 60' time but comes on strong on the big end. Both hands on the leather wrapped wheel. Has a bit of a ghetto gasser look.

fla1976 04-26-2011 05:09 PM

It has a GM 871 blower with dual Edelbrock 750s on an Offenhauser manifold? Sounds pretty rare.

skate-board?? I thought that was on a moped :?:

ajk 04-27-2011 04:43 AM

Please post the weight of the car. I want to run the numbers and see what kind of hp that street cruiser is putting out. 70k invested all factory glass and body panels. stock suspension where was the $$ spent? What does it have for a stereo? Buy a nice Bickle car for that kind of change.

Harbone 04-27-2011 04:50 AM

Harbone 04-27-2011 05:08 AM

You know, if you removed the stock steel bumpers, lexan all the glass, put fiberglass fenders, door, trunkdeck and add some aluminum wheels the weight saving would allow that car to run in the 6's all day!
By the way, is that chassis certified??

shawnp 04-27-2011 05:18 AM

The incramentals are impossible unless he was all over the brake pedal the last 320 feet. The weight to potential horsepower to run that ET... not happening.

AND........ he is .08 faster to the stripe but it shows that the right lane to the stiped 1st by 6 seconds.

Maybe I just need morning coffee

itsabird 04-27-2011 06:19 AM

170s, that's a bold statement.

that car has to be all of 3200lbs and as far as what he spent 70k on... definitely wasnt on those ugly ass oem gmc sonoma wheels or light weight parts and paint......

Harbone 04-27-2011 07:20 AM

so if I was going to drop $45-55k on a car, here are some of my choices...

http://static.racingjunk.com/63/ui/0...-undefined.jpg
http://www.racingjunk.com/category/1...et-Camaro.html

http://static.racingjunk.com/63/ui/4...y-Tube-Car.jpg

http://static.racingjunk.com/63/ui/9...ial-Camaro.jpg

Now, primered up Brougham or a few real cars, you make the choice...

I am in on that deal, financial backing, transportation you name it!

Scooterz 04-27-2011 09:47 AM

I am in!! You could give him a couple car lengths handicap... he will need several miles to get the ol' Cuttz/bro-hamm up to 170 however.
