WE MADE A TRADE BY PHONE, THE DEAL WAS IF WE TRADED OR NOT HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE TRANSPORTING, WHEN THE TRANSPORTER GOT THERE HE DECIDED HE DIDN,T WANT TO TRADE, RAN IN THE HOUSE AND LOCKED HIS DOORS, WOULD NOT ANSWER THE PHONES, HE FINALLY ANSWERED THE PHONE AND SAID YOU MUST LEAVE MY PROPERTY I AM CALLING THE POLICE AND GETTING YOU FOR TRESPASSING, SO INDEED HE CALLED THE POLICE AND THE TRANSPORTER DID ALSO, POLICE CAME AND SAID ITS A CIVIL MATTER AND WOULD NEED TO BE HANDLED IN COURT NOT AT THE PROPERTY. THIS MAN SPOKE WITH THE TRANSPORTER AND TOLD HIM THE SAME THING, BRING THE CAR AND NO MATTER WHICH WAY IT GOES YOU WILL BE PAID, THIS GUY MUST THINK PEOPLE WORK FOR FREE, HE IS A TRUCK DRIVER ALSO, I JUST WONDER HOW MANY TIMES HE DON,T GET PAID, HE IS A STONE LIER AND HAS NO RESPECT FOR ANYONE, I KNOW THIS AD WILL BRING BACK A NEGATIVE RESPONSE ON MY CAR BUT PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PEOPLE LIKE THIS. IF YOU DO ANY TRADING WITH THIS GUY YOU HAD BETTER MAKE HIM COME TO YOU, HE JUST EMAILED ME AND TOLD ME IF I POST ON HIM I WON,T BE ABLE TO USE THIS SITE ANYMORE, THIS GUY THINKS HE KNOWS ALL THE ROPES, RACING JUNK MIGHT BOOT THE NEGATIVE AND TRUTHFUL AD BUT I WILL MAKE SURE IT MAKES IT TO THE FORUM. HE HAS HAD OTHER PROBLEMS BEFORE BUT NO ONE HAS POSTED ON HIM, I AM SURE IF HE MAKES THE WRONG STATEMENT THERE WILL BE MORE POSTS COME OUT ON THIS GUY. BE AWARE!

i have heard from other members that this guy has made this a routine habit at others cost so beware

Ray is one of the best guys i ever traded with if he bring a car to me they take it off the trailer and load mind up and if he tell you something he stands behind it he a straight shooter So if he said the guy was going to pay for the deliverly and didnt i believe him because Ray one straight shooter and one of the nices guys i ever met on here

this guy screwed himself,i spent a week talking to him about his car,i am not dumb i know what to ask.he told me that his car was very nice,to make a long story short,the car is a piece of crap,cheap fiberglass body,no reinforsment at all.doors held on with sheet metal screws,no room for the cheap susp.to work,bad paint and interior and so on,he is the one who lied to me and wasted my time,i don,t know about you but if you tell me that your car is very nice and you lied all bets are off.i told his buddy to not even take it off the trailer,he backed it onto my property and refused to leave,what would you have done.i hope that you have more faith in you cars not to take a piece of crap on trade.thanks

I thought I had better let you all know, the guy offered me the pickup truck for that Roadster and I told him NO, the car was far from a Junk Car, The problem is I believe- if this guy can,t make a lot of money on the trade he is out, lets get right to the issue, the transporter has nothing to do with the trade, if you tell the transporter he will will get paid and he brings the car to you he should get paid. Since we are on the subject about junk let me tell you a True Story that happened to me: I traded for a 41 Ford from a freind of his that KW1 used to own, he emailed me after I got it and ask me to trade it back to him, he gave me a very low ball offer and I said NO WAY, he emailed me back and told me this: Your a$$ hole must be still hurting after the screwing my friend gave you, its a bondo piece of Sh!!, I called his friend and told him he needed to straighten up his friend he is making you look real bad, his friend called him and spoke with him, he emailed me back and said if i hear you talking about me again i will come up there and black your eye, I replyed back and told him come on up, but when you do make sure to bring a extra driver because i going to black both of your eyes, you will need him to get you back home, After that we spoke by phone and he said he was wrong to do what he had done, he later emailed me about a Frame up built Chevelle, I also had a guy take that car to him and it wasn,t good enough, and he tryed to not pay him his half after telling the transporter he would, the transporter encouraged him to pay and he finally did. The bottom line is: Transporters have nothing to do with anything but the delivering and should be paid as agreed! I hear the Roadster was traded when it got back home- It brought in a 73 Corvette Convertible with very low miles and a Restored 1977 Glide Harley, and the guy told the transporter he was very happy with the car! Just what I heard! I guess it just shows a size 11 shoe just don,t fit everyone!

the fact that kw1 keeps peaking in and does not make any statements in his defense says alot.

For what it is worth I looked at the little rod while in Poorboys garage. It was 2064. I felt the car was a nice little rod, I would have tried to trade/buy it from Poorboy if it had not already been sold. It was not a $50K rod but none the less it was a nice little rod that stood tall and fired right up. It was a cool little piece that I would have liked to own. That truck would have to have been an out of this world truck for me not to make that trade.
I have had happen to me where you go to make a deal and one or the other says no, but if we agree to take care of the transport I have never had anyone back out of that. The transporter should have been paid. Anymore unless someone is will to meet half way or I have delt with them before, I wont do business with them, because of what just happened to RT2064. KW1 should have paid the guy for the run or met the guy half way.

kw1 you should step up and pay the driver like you said you would

Who are the haters? You mean the guys that would go to bat for you if you needed help? Did Ray tell you why he stiffed Jim? Jim deserves his money. It is amazing that anyone thinks this is about a car, truck, roadster, etc. It was agreed, if the trade didn't go off, Ray would pay Jim for his troubles. Did Jim get paid is all I want to know, I could not care less about the drama. If he didn't pay him, then do so immediately and it will be settled. JMO on this boondoggle.

Rudy your all mixed up brother, This is Ray, I didn,t stiff anyone, I was making a trade with KW1 in Wisconsin, Jim talked to KW1 about the transporting and KW1 agreed to pay him not me. KW1 owes him the transporting costs, I hope you understand now, I am surprized you misunderstood it!

Just so everyone knows, I (Ray) am at Poboys home doing a trade, he explained to me that someone had me mixed up with the man that didn,t pay the driver, thats why it came across as Poboy,s posting. I used his computor to reply, just wanted to make sure you all didn,t get confused.

My apologies Ray! :oops: I misread suie54s post. I will refer to kw1 as just that from now on. Again, my apologies Ray.

If you get down to suies house anytime in the future, holler, I would like to meet both of y'all. I have talked to suie, seems like a great guy.
