Doesn't matter, B/BLK,S/BLK the lifters are the same size, there's .100 travel in the piston on the lifters. The only difference is if you have 3/8" studs or 7/16" studs. 3/8 1 turn equels .050, 7/16X20 equels 1 1/4 turns. Set it in the middle and go from there. But it really sounds like you have an oiling problem.

Can't belive I just read all them posts. I would like to add some info but this thread is far two technical for me.
A hydraulic lifter whether in small or big block chevy adjusts the same. zero plus ½ to 1 turn. Anywhere close will work but may not perform as it could. Now I think the pushrods are too long causing the plunger to bottom out siezing the springs. :lol: |

This thread needs to be deleted, its not helping anybody at this point. this person was asking for help and obviously needs help. It is the object of this forum to help indivuials that are in need wether they know what they are talking about or not.
