besides the obvious trim differences between a 67 and a 68 camaro, there was a issue with the rear suspension on the 67 camaro that became a recall and then was redesign in 68. so first what was the recall and what did it involve and second what was redesigned in 68 to solve the problem :?:

ding ding ding!!! the original shocks were mounted on the same side of the axle and the cars had horrible wheel hop, to solve the problem GM had a recall to mount a torque arm/traction bar on the right side to alleviate the problem, in 68 they staggered the shocks and went to multi leaf and the problem was solved.

The GM 215 cubic inch aluminum V8 engine (and its Rover descendants) have historically been the V8 of choice for MG conversions because of its light weight and compact dimensions. The engine was domestically available in a variety of 1961 to 1963 Buicks, Oldsmobiles, and Pontiacs and in several performance levels.

Stock horsepower ranged from the standard Buick Special's 155 H.P. / 210 lbs torque to the Oldsmobile Jetfire's turbocharged and fluid injected 215 H.P. / 300 lbs torque. Of course, the most desirable aluminum V8's are the higher performance versions with increased compression ratios and four barrel carburetors. [Editor's note: if you're going to rebuild a Buick 215 anyway, you can easily change compression ratio by selecting different pistons. To change compression ratio on an Olds 215, you're probably looking at swapping heads. That's another article. Buick and Olds 215's have entirely different valve covers, which is probably the quickest way to sort a stack of them. Heads and valve-train are what really make Buick and Oldsmobile 215's quite different, but that's another article too!]

Dodge manufactured every part of the Ford car except for the buckboard wooden seats and the rubber tires. Dr. E. Pfennig bought the first Ford for $850. At the time of the sale, Ford only had left $223.65 in his bank account, and was almost bankrupt. However, cash flow went only one direction after that first sale, and that direction was up. Dodge received $10,000 in stock dividends the first year. Ford stock would eventually pay out to them millions more, but for the time being the Dodge Brothers profited handsomely twice: once by selling Ford the parts he needed to manufacture his car, and again by owning stock in his prospering company.
