Bunch f PLAYA HATERS in this thread I see. It's all good...Know What I'm Sayin'?

FullTimeRacing 07-17-2009 11:32 AM

THERE MUST BE A NEW LAW ENACTED THAT PROTECTS CHEVELLES FROM POTENTIAL MOLESTERS... "HB 64- 72" preventing the purchase or restoration of a 64 to 72 Chevelle 2dr to mentally unstable people who might pose a threat to the stability of the Chevelle image. Those who break this new law will be forced to drive a Toyota Prius for the rest of thier pathetic lives.[/quote]

Yaknow good laws never get passed.

DirkaDirka 07-29-2009 12:18 PM

Your all right bout the new law. But it should pertain to driving chevy's altogether.

I agree. It would be a good time to SLOW THE WORLD DOWN!
Just think if everybody drove F---d's we'd all be in better shape to and save gas because we'd get too. We'd get to walk to work at least 2 days every week!!lol

lively 07-29-2009 01:09 PM

rabbit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have seen lots and lots and lots of FORDS pulling chevies/ dodges and fords

where would these guys be without the old junk FORD ???????????????

LIVELY

FullTimeRacing 07-29-2009 01:54 PM

Comming home from tennessee I saw a half ton chevy towing on a trailer a 3/4 ton 4x4 ford power stroke,

It just look funny to me and made me laugh.

DirkaDirka 07-29-2009 04:58 PM

Its like people say what Ford means.......

First
On
Race
Day

FullTimeRacing 07-29-2009 05:41 PM

theres a whole topic on what ford means.yall gota remember that

DirkaDirka 07-29-2009 05:56 PM

Ok guys just please dont get me wrong. I do like Fords(I live on a horse ranch and all I pull with is a ford) but i do also like Chevy's. I got a 55 series one chevy that I will be building as a street rod and a chevy 4x4. I also like my Toyota Celica at the same time. So please go easy on me.

TheRabbit 07-29-2009 07:10 PM

I knew I could wake you guys up!!. Been kinda quiet on here for a while.
I like all brands, but I hate Ford Power Strokes. Don't care what year I hate 'em all. I've been in the rental business for 15 years and all we have ever run has been Ford F450 and F550 service trucks. I could tell you so many problems with 'em till you would laugh. From 1999 until 2004 we didn't have 1 make it past 25k miles without having major engine failure. This was about 10 or 12 trucks. I 1998 I was sitting at a red light in my '97 F450 with only 22k miles on it with the clutch pushed in when the camshaft broke!
This was after a dozen camshaft sensors and 2 computers had been replaced. Not to mention dozens of injectors gone bad over the years.
To be honest on my personal vehicles I've had more trouble out of my Chevys than Fords, but never owned a Power Choke.

DirkaDirka 07-29-2009 07:19 PM

Well I can honestly say that the power stroke aint abad engine. I own a 2005 F-350 with 120,000 miles on the 6.0 power stroke diesel. The only hting I am having probs with it right now is i need to change the other 6 injectors and rebuild the tranny. But even then the only thing wrong witht the tranny is the tow/haul option. When i am towing I cant put it in tow/haul or it will shift extremely hard when slowing down to stop. Anyways, I'm not trying to write a book just trying to be brought into the racing family here on RJ. I am hoping to have a car that I can run with you guys down the track one day.

FullTimeRacing 07-29-2009 07:29 PM

NOT to brag,BUT my 96 chevy 3/4 ton 6.5 trubo has 229,000 miles on it and still has the factory drive train in it.I will drive it anywhere.

DirkaDirka 07-29-2009 07:34 PM

Its not bragging if it is the truth. Thats one reason why I love diesels. They last forever!!

FullTimeRacing 07-29-2009 07:37 PM

Bought it from my brother,He bought it new.

pic is in my racespace.

DirkaDirka 07-29-2009 07:46 PM

Nice truck. How can I get one of those race space profiles? I am new here and yeah I get lost everytime I am on here.

FullTimeRacing 07-29-2009 07:55 PM

I don't remember, but you should be able to click on racespace in the tabs at the top of the page and set it up.

DirkaDirka 07-29-2009 08:14 PM

Hey I got. i am loving this site the more I am on it. It's just to bad I keep getting into trouble with the wife cuz I want so much on here.

cepx111 07-29-2009 09:32 PM

Welcome to our family Dirka!

Just tell your wife it could be worse, you could be on myspace or facebook looking for her replacement.....
It's all good here and you dam sure aint gonna leave her for one of us.

As long as were talking about high mileage vehicles, I've got 270K something on my 95 CHEVY suburban, original motor and transmission.

I load it up to the gills every weekend, trailor, racecar, generator, battery charger, 2 coolers, spare for trailor, floorjack, usually 2 or 3 kids, my girlfriend, my fat a$$ and it's never let me down - now it might croak on me tomorrow but for now its still ginning.

Cp

DirkaDirka 07-29-2009 10:03 PM

It is great to be here. I look forward to this place everytime im online(which is bout everyday). I got some pics of my truck and car on my racespace. Sorry they are small. I will try and get better ones when I am home in Oct.

DirkaDirka 07-30-2009 09:45 AM

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?? All I know is my wife keeps me right where I need to be.

Scooterz 07-30-2009 10:48 AM

Welcome Dirk-Diggler, I am called Scooter (long story) & this is a great place for sure... learned many things here from some fine folks.

Diesels: I love them too... all my friends have them & they have HIGH miles. All our vechiles are gas right now however.

Here is my high milage vechile winner that gave almost no problems (I may get teased or called GAY on this) it was a 89' 525 BMW 6cycl. w/ 245,000 miles. I sold 5 years ago & it ran/looked/drove great... good car. Only had to replace an excessivley expense fuel pump once.

DirkaDirka 07-30-2009 11:01 AM

Hey Scooter I read the short version of why you are called that. I got to tell ya, BMW hmmmmm they are good cars. Those Germans know how to build a car. And no I am not going to call you gay for it. Everybody drives a car every now and then. How fun would it be if everyubody drove trucks? Oh and I am hoping to learn LOTS from these good people here. Some what to do and some what NOT to do.

hollowayshotrods 07-30-2009 12:16 PM

Dirka, that is a good thing. Best wife a guy could ask for, if anyone has a better wife than mine they should be very, very thankful.

YUP, VERY GAY CAR!!  :P :P

Scooterz 07-30-2009 04:54 PM

I know... I put myself out there on that one. I figure I dish out enough teasin' so I must be able to lick my own wounds too. I will say I could not hurt that BMW... tough car for sure.

Dirk- you will be wiser hanging out here. I actually did not understand carburators AT ALL when I came here. The boys here taught me "carb 101". I learned about valve lash too, with no tounge lash from the helpful boys here at RJ. It is has been much more than gear head stuff though...
It is friendship with some good folks. People have been through some tough things here too. Some have died, some have poured out some heavy stuff... we stick up for each other & we support each other well. There have been floods, fires, wrecks... etc When there is a arrogant outsider who picks on someone here, they get all tore up by the RJ wolf pack. You will be in good hands.

Rudy: actaully... I thought you DID MISS that incredibly deep, penetrating comment I made back there. You know I am just teasing ya'... let's not get "stuck" on that... it was kinda dirty... I can't really put my finger on where I was going with it. At least we are not proctologists.

Hemi- You say it was GAY.... I say it was lucky to be driven by a GreatAmericanYankee

DirkaDirka 07-30-2009 05:11 PM

I know I have A LOT to learn when it comes down to working on cars. Yes I do mechanis work on cars. Yes I do body work on cars. But just because I do it doesnt mean i know everything and I tell everybody I talk to that I dont know everything. I have been wrenching on cars since I was 14ish. I am now 31(man I'm old) and I have still yet to build my first engine. Thats why I was hoping with the great guys here on RJ(hint hint) they will help me find(or at least) tell me what the best parts to put into a racing engine as well as teach me the best they could how do to something. I have also tried other forums where all they do is put down each other cuz they think that they are better than everybody else. I am glad my wife sent me this site on yahoo messenger.

Oh and I am thankful that my head is not the only one rolling in the gutter

MEMRACING62 07-30-2009 05:11 PM

JUST MESSIN WITH YA SCOOT, IL BET YA NEVER GOT IN TROUBLE DRIVING THE OLE BEAMER. :P

lmaooooooooo scooter, I was laying in the grass like a sniper waiting on his intended victim. I knew you would give me a target sooner or later.

TheRabbit 07-31-2009 08:37 AM

Hey Scooter, BMW's are nice rides!! At first I was scared you were gonna say you had a Pink, Convertible, PT Cruiser with a Super High Output turbo charged 4 cyl. Now that would have been a gay car and we would have taken your RJ privileges away from ya!!

BTW I'm glad to hear your business has picked up!! Just hope it's all the good folks buying the guns  I just want a taser!!

Scooterz 07-31-2009 10:54 AM

Well Men- I am just damn glad we all can flick each other some crap every once in awhile. Life can be pretty serious- I love to be here to get away from the grind.

Hemi- I know you were just jabbing me... I gave you an open door. And yes, that car never got me in trouble because it was a DOG. All the way up to about 3200RPM it would be dead... & then then the explosion of weak power kicks in. It was a turd....

Dirk: It is good to know about things... I thought I knew a few in my 39 years of life... but I came here & was taught alot more. As long as we are open to learning & listening, there is much wisdom to be had yet. My prayers go to your wife + Beast too.

YO Rabbit... have you seen the PT Cruisers like we have here w/ white walls & flames??? Seems like every time I see one, it is old people who think they are driving a 40 Ford wanna bee or it is being pulled behind a MO HO or something... I hate those damn things!!! Tasers are definately cool, but I hate how they leave all those little serial tracking confetti pieces after they are used... makes it so you can be identified every time you use one.

Rudy, I love the pic of the 69er.... that is a clean lookin car. Someday maybe mine will look more clean like that... love the vinyl. Your son would have loved it too. If I was smarter, I would post a pic of my car soon.

DirkaDirka 07-31-2009 11:08 AM

See I want to learn as much as I can so I can pass that knowledge off to others as well as my daughter. She is going to be just like me. Heck she is only 17 months old and already loves racing and fast cars. I know when she is old enough to drive she is gonna want to my car everytime.

Scooter, None of the White Walls here yet. lol
You live in the middle of Tree Hugger country don't you?? Supprised you can sell a gun there. In the South we kill it, DEEP FRY it, add some salt and pepper and EAT IT!

I remember going to school with a 30-06 a .22 and a 12ga shotgun in the gun rack of my truck. You remember those old gun racks that fit in the window!? Can you imagine a kid doing that today!
Tasers leave traceable confetti?? Dad gum can't we have any fun anymore!!
