Just one more question, before i noticed they were rubbing while turning the motor over a couple of the rockers were gouged a little on the bottom corner edge. I did clean them up so that no more shavings were on them but i was just wondering how safe i would be running these. I'm not running alot of spring pressure, ( less than 600) but i'd just like another opinion.

Ouch!!! I'm not exactly sure where they are rubbing from your explination. Is the rocker hitting the edge of the retainer? If so on Jesel shaft rockers, your installed shaft height (rocker geometery) must not be correct.

No they are yella terra rockers and they were hitting on the outside corner, ( number one exhaust rocker) and so on on that side. it was on the outside corner nearest the stud and less than 1/32 was shaved off, really just the corner radius.

any opinions?

I smoothed out the rockers where they had hit and they look to be ok, i cut the studs and all of the clearances are good. With no more pressure on the rockers we're going to give it a shot and keep an eye on them and see what happens
