u answered part of your problem in your question...
other than that

more gear
possible after market suspension cal tracs, slide -a-links etc...


i can tell you now that your 383 is not going to pull your 3400 Lb car out of the hole without a bunch of gear.......

so your 60 ft is about right for what you have motor/chassis and 3400lbs.

plus your tire size ( height) was never mentioned...this is a key role.

5500 converter and at least 4.56. You won't hurt a good converter on the street, just your mileage.

With a `glide, you will need a gear set in the 4.88:1 to 5.13:1 range with that kind of weight. Unless you run more HP, the other option is to get the torque multiplication from the gears. Just my $.02.

kenny383, check your convertor, my car did the same thing convertor was locking up.
