1949 Ford F1 Pickup
In the late 40's Ford introduced their "Bonus Built" trucks with the first F series and history was changed. Not only would the F series go on to be the best selling pickup truck in 1977 but in 1981 reached the status of being the best selling vehicle overall. By 2023 the F series had generated approximately $49 BILLION for Ford and their popularity shows no signs of slowing any time soon. This beautiful 1949 Ford F1 was completely restored and has 417 miles since being finished. It was professionally done by Jeff Gabrysh of Jeff's Auto Restorations out of Atlanta, Georgia and is a highly detailed build with no expense spared. It has been featured in the NAPA Auto Parts Holiday catalogue and was also selected as a calendar vehicle for AutoZone. The truck was Red originally but has been repainted and has an excellent finish. It is all solid and rust free. All of the chrome and stainless trim is in new condition. The glass was also completely replaced and is in great shape as well. The truck has its original factory spot light which is working correctly. The beds on these classic trucks are a work of art and this 1 has been fully redone with new red oak and new stainless strips. The underside of it is just as nice as the top. The wheels on the truck are painted to match the body and feature nice beauty rings, Ford hubcaps and period correct Coker white wall tires.
Under the hood it has its original 239 8BA flathead V8 that runs well and was fully rebuilt by Bishops Engineering. The block, heads and manifold are all painted Red and it is topped off with a 2 barrel carburetor. It has a new radiator and a mechanical fan with shroud to keep it running nice and cool. It has zero electrical issues and was completely rewired during the build. The exhaust is all new and the truck sounds great. The brakes were entirely redone as was the suspension. Really nothing was left untouched and it has a ton of new parts throughout. Paired with the motor is a heavy duty 3 speed that was rebuilt by Southern Gear. All documentation and records regarding the build come with the purchase.
The interior is in like new condition and features Beige vinyl upholstery. It has a bench seat with lap belts for both driver and passenger. The custom carpet is from Matworks and the truck has a floor mounted shifter. The dash is very nicely painted and has been kept very stock looking. To avoid cutting up the original steel a Kenwood stereo has been mounted in the glove box. The gauges are the original style but have been redone and all work properly. It has an Old Air underdash air conditioning system that blows cold and utilizes a more modern compressor that takes R-134a refrigerant.
Other nice components include the all new weather stripping but that list goes on and on. It is a top shelf classic truck and needs nothing but a new garage to call home.
You couldn't replicate the build for our asking price of $52,500.00!
