STK 3787 1940 Ford Standard Street Rod
This stunning 1940 Ford Standard was professionally built to be driven and enjoyed. The 2-door sedan received a careful restoration (2010) that included a broad range of mechanical enhancements. A beautiful two-stage coat of Ford Black was professionally applied to the classic exterior and is in outstanding condition. All chrome is excellent and 15" chrome wire wheels mount Epic/Solus radials. The stunning interior is well designed. It incorporates embossed burgundy leather upholstery, power seats and a full complement of analog gauges. Door cards, headliner and carpeting are also in excellent condition. Other features include A/C, power tinted windows, a custom wheel on a tilt column, cruise control and a raging Jensen AM/FM/Cassette sound system.
The detailed engine compartment houses a rebuilt 350ci Chevy motor - a small-block that sounds sweet and is very streetable. It is fitted with a single-plane aluminum intake, Edelbrock 4V carburetor and GM manifolds to free-flowing exhaust. The Chevy small-block is mated to a GM 3-speed TurboHydramatic transmission and all electrics have been upgraded to a 12V alternator configuration. The battery has also been relocated to the trunk. The solid chassis is fitted with front coils/sway bar, rack/pinion power steering and power disc/drum brakes. This handsome '40 Ford street rod truly needs to be seen and driven to be appreciated. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
