My 1966 Chevy Impala 2 door hardtop, big block, automatic, is for sale. I feel this is one of the nicest 1966 Impalas in the US, western Us car all of its life. From its history and past owner's this car was born a 427ci, 4 speed car. The engine in the car now is a 73-85 454ci block, with 70-71 rectangular port heads, Comp thumper cam, RPM Air Gap intake, with a 750 Edelbrock carb. The transmission is a reworked Turbo-400, the rear end is original 12 bolt with 3:70 positraction. The car has been a street car, parade car, drag car, and show car. I purchased the car 7 years ago from the local Coors/Miller distributor who had referbed the car to be a display car for Miller Lite Beer. This is why it has the M/Lite logos on the c-pillers and trunk lid, it is part of the car's history. I removed the sound system, and display platform in the trunk which had two Miller coolers in it and repaired all the wiring back to original. I replaced the front drum brakes with discs and have done a lot of TLC work since I owned the car. The paint on the car is Penske Miller Blue, a color Roger Penske used on his race cars in 1999, and was done some 10 years ago. Paint is still in great shape. I have used the car as a parade and show car. Car is fast and runs great, great highway car. Over the last ten years there has been a lot of items replaced on the car, will try to list in "upgrade" area. Car has just been serviced from front to rear with Amsoil products. This is a car that you won't have to do anything but drive for the near future. Contact me with any questions, Mountain time zone. The reason for selling is that I like to buy, fix up, and keep for 5-10 years and then let someone else enjoy the car. Also, have other projects.
