(The GM "049" casting cylinder heads (casting number #3931049 or #6272049) are widely considered some of the best factory cast-iron large oval-port cylinder heads
Chevrolet ever built for the Big Block Chevy (BBC).
Produced from roughly 1973 to 1984, they are highly sought after for budget street/strip 454ci builds due to their excellent high-velocity air flow and open chamber design.)
