Thanks for looking at my car. I'm selling it as due to a combination on of age and health issues it is just time. Also I'm am more engineer/mechanic than driver as I started late at the age of 75. The car is excellent condition mechanically and ready to go and still as mineral break in oil in it I have rebuilt the front suspension entirely with new uprights(Spitfire modified) and replace all the front suspension links and rod ends. All the rod ends are very HD by todays standards as they are 7/16” rather than the 5/16 and 3/8” used these days. I also replaced the Brake MC with Wilwood and rebuilt the Willwood front and AP rear brakes. The motor is a KZ1000 Kawasaki which is sort of the small block Chevy of motorcycles as they built this motor from 1973 to 1991. Replacement parts are readily available The motor is stock except for 10.5 rather than 9.5 compression pistons. I have also revamped the cooling as it is air cooled replacing a bunch of Spal type fans with forced air cooling scoop which lowered they oil temperature by 30 degrees. The drive system is a chain drive The car predates the new style of chain to Quaife differential scheme. Rear axle U joints are from the VW super beetle/Porsche 924/944. The body is the weak spot as it is apparently from a 1969 version of the and shows it and has also been my neglected point. Belts are good thru June28
For spares I have a second set of some light weight steel wheels and 2 sets of tires a spare motor that runs but needs rebuilt. I have extra gaskets, a set of cylinder jugs and extra sprockets and a spare rear upright pus more. Contact me for a complete car status report that I keep current.
