I am selling my 2004 BMW E46 M3 that I have owned for 5 years. As a Mechanical Engineer, I have reviewed all the subsystems in this car and either renewed or replaced anything that would cause reliability problems. Now at age 77, I have decided I have to switch from maintaining this car to keeping my own body in shape. If you are new to the BMW E46, there are many nuances that require careful rework to make the car reliabily. I took this car to Buttonwillow Racetrack Practice Days as a street car over the past 2 years to get the bugs out.
Starting at the front of this car:
Front License Plate relocated to maximize intake air flow.
Retrofit Source HID Bi-Xenon Morimoto D2s 4.0
A Derale puller fan with Bosch motor replaces the mechanical fan saving more than 5 hp.
A Fluidyne Aluminum Radiator recommended by Turner Motorsports cools the car.
