LEMONS HEADERS INC.
’67-’69 CAMARO & ’68-’74 NOVA- BB RACE HEADER
STOCK CHASSIS with front mounted rack & pinion steering
PART # BBR-506
Header Spec’s:
This header is designed for any tube size UP TO 2 ½” with UP TO a 5” collector size or our collector mufflers UP TO a 6” size. It has all tubes inside the frame with excellent ground clearance and spark plug access.
What Fits:
We designed the header using a Milodon #30951 or #30956 low profile 7 quart oil pan and the bottom of the header was ½” higher than the bottom of the pan. These 2 pans offer easy access to the oil filter as well as a Moroso #20408. Some oil pans with side sump kick outs under the filter or starter will cause them to be trapped. Measuring from the side of a stock oil pan we have well over 4” of room on each side for a sump kick out or dry sump oil lines. This also gives easy access to the oil filter and starter. If you are going to use our collector mufflers you may need our tubular transmission cross member for additional room.

The header is designed for solid side motor mounts (Moroso#62530) setting on small block frame stands either (327 or 350) not (302 or 307) motor plates with the engine centered and level side to side . Ask our sales person for more information. There is room for the engine to move back with this header. This header will fit a power brake booster and clutch linkage. It fits any mini starter including a Meziere TS-400, but will not fit an old style factory GM full size starter. If you are using a Lakewood style scatter shield you may have to trim it slightly under the starter area. This header will NOT fit a factory air conditioning box on the fire wall or column shifter linkage. If you want to keep your column shifter, contact Lokar or I Did It, they both offer mechanical linkage and cable shifter systems to replace the factory linkage
Installing the Headers:
We normally build this header with individual tubes and slip on collectors for easy installation and added horsepower. Leave the engine and starter in place. Start from front to back installing one tube at a time on both sides. Only snug the header bolts until the collectors are installed then go back and tighten all header bolts.
Be sure to read our Yellow (Header Installation Tip’s) page before installing your new Lemons Headers, it will make installing the headers much easier and save you time.
