For Sale: Renegade Front Engine Dragster
Here's a super opportunity to own a really nicely built and excellently detailed car that wouldn't take too much to get it back on track this season.
I purchased this car to flip it and here's everything I know about it:

Donovan 1/2" stroke 392 w/Donovan D-port heads
Donovan stands/rockers/magnesium valve covers
Smith Bros adjustable pushrods
B&J 2-speed transmission/ L&T billet clutch
Browell steel bellhousing
Mooneyham polished 6-71 blower/ BDS magnesium intake
Enderle injector/fuel pump/barrel valve
9" chromed Ford rear end/ axles currently set for 5x5.5" pattern
SPE spindles/steering box/quick-release steering wheel
ET aluminum 16x10 5-spokes with M&H 12-16's
19.5" shoulder width/38" seat to inside top of cage
Was NHRA certified for 7.50
New belts last certified 2016
Borescope pictures indicate it has alcohol pistons
Gorgeous flawless paint & chassis/hand lettered graphics
I purchased this car recently from a museum where it had been resting for 10 years. This car has never been fired or gone down track.
I pulled the valve covers off and we looked down the cylinders with a very high tech borescope and the walls looks new as you would expect.
Ron Fry, Mendy's dad whose name is lettered on one panel is rumored to have built the motor but I have yet to confirm that. The motor rolls over nicely and I decided I'd seen enough and didn't pull the pan because I didn't want to disturb the O-ring on the 2-piece pan, I'm pretty confident it's got all good stuff based on everything else, I'll let the new owner go through it.
The paint is absolutely flawless as is the powder coating on the chassis, there isn't a mark on it. The inside of the panels are as nice as the outside and are even striped where you can't even see! Beautiful hand-lettered graphics really pop in the sun, all chrome came back beautifully after some rubbing and a lot of love.
I could have easily parted this car out...it would have been worth more...but it's such a beautiful piece, I think the new owner will really appreciate the car as a whole, the sum of its parts and the classic "look" that it all adds up to.
What the car doesn't have:
Car has no driveshaft
Car has no parachute
Car has no brakes...master cylinder is installed along with the hand brake and is plumbed to the wheels but no discs or calipers.
Car has a spool and gears in the housing but no splines on the axles so it rolls real easy.
Currently those axles are accepting a Ford 5x5.5" pattern on these ET wheels.
New owner will need to address these items.
Car is sold As-Is, No Title, Bill of Sale Only.
Serious inquires only please, new owner would be responsible for shipping, I will assist with getting the car to a delivery point the best I can.
Car is located on the Monterey Peninsula, CA.
NO trades, out of room.
$29K/obo buys the car.
