1975 Westfalia Original Paint Survivor -Meet Ludwig Van Beethoven (the name its had its entire life). I purchased this original paint survivor from the original family that owned it since new. It got original paint, all the original Westfalia interior, it even has the original collapsible tire and VW stamped air compressor. Original keyset with an original leather VW key holder. All my friends told me to pull the fuel injection and put carbs on it. I just couldn't bring myself to do that to a bus with such character and originality. So I took it down to Al's VW in Downey and had him take the motor completely apart and redo everything. It now runs like charm with its original fuel injection in tact. Work done on it by Al's VW in Downey, CA. Clean title in my name with Cali plates. here is the history from the original owner.... My dad ordered the bus in 1974 from a Volkswagen dealership in Salem, OR. The order was for a new 1975 VW Bus Orange Camper and the order for was for us to pick up the bus at the factory in Luxembourg, Belgium. And, that is what happened. Our family: my mom, dad (who is German) and brother spent a few summers in Europe traveling around. On this trip, part of our journey was traveling to Belgium to pick up the bus. The journey to pick up the bus was by train and boat. After we picked it up, we traveled all over Europe with it. We spent 3 months traveling around and camped all over, in all kinds of weather. We went to Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, France, Austria and Italy. It was in the Alps, in cities, at lakes and a variety of other locations. It was great fun. At the end of our 1975 summer Europe travels my dad had made arrangements to have it shipped back to the U.S.. We left it at the docks and flew back. It took awhile for the bus to get here, but when it did arrive, it came into a dock in California. Please Note The Following **Vehicle Location is at our clients home and Not In Cadillac, Michigan.
